OFF THE PEGS I: RANDOM FACES

- Animate Faces:
- Create a square or circle on a Post-it note or the bottom half of an index card.
- Create 12 variations of an animated face.
- Shoot in Random order on 1's @ 12fps:
- Set Dragonframe project to 12fps 4:3 aspect ratio
- Frame image on downshooter so we can see the edges of the paper. If needed you can trim pages on paper cutter for better framing.
- Use onion-skinning to register edges of pages when shooting.
- Shoot images in a random order until you have recorded at least 48 frames. Set playback to loop to observe animation.
- Export Movie
- Multi-Image Shoot: This shoot requires a downshooter with a wide (35mm) lens.
- Set Dragonframe project to 12fps 4:3 aspect ratio
- Use the grid to arrange 9 or 12 images on the table and raise camera on downshooter so we can see all 9. If needed you can trim pages on paper cutter for better framing.
- Shoot a frame and then shuffle the images.
- Use onion-skinning to register the position of the drawings.
- Repeat until you have recorded at least 18 frames. Set playback to loop to observe animation.
- Copy and paste all 18 frames 4 times for a total of 72 frames.
- Export Movie.
- Export and Submit Movies: Export movies directly from Dragonframe (1920 x 1080) and submit to class @DROPBOX.

- Shoot Cycles on 1's @ 12fps/4:3 Aspect Ratio
- Final QuickTime movies should be HD 1920 x 1080 H264
